Rebekah Wills, Program Assistant

Lead Responsibility: Rebekah provides administrative support for all Career Ladders Project team members and initiatives. Her responsibilities include conducting research, documenting, reviewing, organizing project materials, and coordinating conference calls, event logistics, and web-based communications. 

Areas of concentration: Community of practice support and event planning; program documentation; and communication transmissions. She is the other voice on the phone when you call the Career Ladders Project.

Rebekah brings a variety of experience from the educational field to her work at the Career Ladders Project. As the volunteer coordinator for HEROES, an AmeriCorps VISTA program, she placed volunteers in the Oakland Unified School District and organized orientations and special events for school volunteers. She has taught reading to first grade students at Esperanza Elementary School through the Sylvan Learning Center, and taught English to elementary students in Guadeloupe.

Rebekah serves as a volunteer reading tutor for Reading Partners, and she also has volunteered with children and teenagers in several programs including Big Brothers & Big Sisters. Rebekah holds a B.A. degree from Lyon College.
